Our course on Abdhidamma (Philosophical Psychology of Buddhism) on Karma ends tonight. In last night session, our Bhante (Buddhist monk) said something that really touched me. He told us to live life like a good surfer. There’s gonna be lots of wave as we live our lives, like a good surfer, we should face those challenges. In the vast ocean of life, we can only count on ourselves in facing those waves. It’s all up to us whether we want to stay on our surfboard or be eaten by the waves. Be it good or bad, embrace and enjoy every moment of it because nothing is permanent.

I failed to muster enough courage to ask if he listens to The Beach Boys too. I am really curious. :D
